Program Year One Pastoral Training

Pastor Michael Sabakania, with a pastoral tenure of 17 years, selflessly serves a congregation in Matakokore, Pallisa, 20 miles away from his home. Every day, he embarks on a bicycle journey, leaving his family behind due to the distance that prohibits their travel. His commitment to his ministry, despite the personal sacrifices, is unwavering. He has been married to Akia Alice for 23 years and is blessed with seven children.
One of his most significant challenges arose when fellow pastors in the village, from whom he drew inspiration, abandoned their ministries, citing the perceived lack of benefit in giving rather than receiving. Despite this, he remained resolute in his conviction of God's calling upon his life, finding solace in knowing that God Himself is the ultimate reward. Through these trials, he has tasted the goodness of the Lord.
Driven by an earnest zeal for God, his pastoral endeavors have been characterized by passion rather than formal knowledge. Recalling instances where he preached from a single line of scripture due to his limited training, he acknowledges the absence of formal education and financial constraints as significant barriers to acquiring the necessary skills.
Upon learning about the RPI through his peers in Pallisa, he discerned that the time had come to pursue training. With renewed purpose and determination, he eagerly anticipates the opportunity to deepen his understanding and refine his skills for more impactful ministry.
As a farmer, Pastor Michael could never afford this type of education and training. Your support, however, is not just financial assistance. It is a key that unlocks a door to transformative growth and learning for him.

Your sponsorship makes a significant difference in the lives of men like Pastor Michael, allowing them to receive a solid biblical foundation and valuable leadership skills.
