Location Buvuma Island
Pastor David has been married to Balisanyuka Annet for 14 years. Their journey has been marked by profound loss. Six of their ten children were lost to various tragedies, including illnesses, stillbirths, and miscarriages, leaving them with four remaining children. This unimaginable grief has strained their marriage and ultimately led his father-in-law to take his daughter (David’s wife) away for four years, believing that Pastor David was cursed. Despite multiple attempts to reconcile, he continually faced rejection. This continued until two years ago when his wife silently returned upon learning of his intention to remarry.
He has toiled in the village's drainage channels to support his remaining children, relying on seasonal farming for income. Amidst adversity, he’s remained steadfast in his faith and commitment to God's work. He views his manual labor as an avenue for understanding ministry, describing himself as a "Laborer in the Lord’s harvest," and feels privileged to serve.
He felt hope for the first time in years when he heard about the Rural Pastors Institute. He believes RPI to be a place that will genuinely help him. For 16 years, Pastor David has pastored and currently leads a congregation on Buvuma Island. Beginning without formal training, he acknowledges that the mere knowledge of salvation isn't sufficient for effective ministry. Costly Bible college educational fees have prevented him from pursuing training, but his dedication to God's work remains unwavering despite challenges.
He has always wanted to attend Bible school, however, he struggles to attain that type of training because of financial constraints and educational limitations. By investing in Pastor David’s training at the Rural Pastors Institute, you will help him further overcome his personal and pastoral challenges and contribute to his development. Your sponsorship makes a significant difference in the lives of men like Pastor David, allowing them to receive solid biblical teaching, family discipleship training, and leadership skills.
Thank you for being a Pastoral Sponsor at Rural Pastors International.
