Program Year One Pastoral Training

Location Makhoma Village, Bugiri

Pastor David is a dedicated servant of God whose faith journey began at the tender age of 13. Over the past 16 years, he has faithfully served as a pastor in the Makhoma village of Bugiri. One of the most memorable moments of his ministry was on the opening day of the church when seven individuals committed their lives to Christ.
Despite his unwavering commitment to God's work, Pastor David has faced numerous trials along the way. One particularly difficult ordeal occurred a few years ago when a false rumor started by a friend accused him of being involved with a cult. This malicious gossip spread throughout the village, resulting in the loss of one of the three churches he had planted. Despite his wife's encouragement to leave the village, Pastor David remained steadfast in his faith, patiently waiting for the Lord to vindicate him. Eventually, the truth came to light, and Pastor David was cleared of all accusations, restoring his reputation in the village.  Through God's grace, he has also reconciled with the friend who spread the false rumors.
Pastor David has always desired to deepen his scriptural understanding. This desire led him to attend a mini-training at the Rural Pastors Institute. There, he encountered a unique form of teaching focused on discipleship. Despite previously graduating from a Christian Bible school, he found the teaching at the RPI to be more intimate and impactful. Unfortunately, as a bus/truck driver who recently lost his job, he lacks the financial means to afford the RPI training program. Nonetheless, his determination to be fully equipped remains unwavering. With your support, he can embark on a growth journey, equipping him further to navigate ministry.
