Godfrey’s Story

Pastor Gaali Godfrey grew up as a focused young man and became involved in business at an early age. He was earning a good income and had opportunities to build a stable life, but his choices concerning marriage eventually brought significant challenges. He married more than once, and over time much of the wealth he had accumulated was lost. His father’s advice at the time was to send away wives when they misbehaved and marry another, which further influenced the way he approached marriage. His journey began to change when a team of evangelists came and preached the gospel. He was deeply impacted by the message and became interested in knowing more about Christ. He bought himself a Bible and began taking his faith seriously. However, his spiritual growth was a journey, and he continued to struggle with some of the choices he had previously made. Even after responding to the gospel, he entered into another marriage, which brought further difficulties into his life. Today, Pastor Gaali is committed to living a transformed life and growing in his walk with Christ. His journey has taught him the importance of allowing God’s Word to shape every area of his life. The opportunity to study at RPI has come at an important time, providing him with a valuable opportunity to deepen his understanding of Scripture, grow in Christian maturity, and become better equipped to serve God and His people. His story is one of a man whose encounter with the gospel began a gradual transformation. Through his journey, he came to recognize the need for a deeper understanding of God’s Word and for growth in Christian maturity. His continued training at RPI is part of that journey as he seeks to grow in his understanding of Scripture and be better equipped to serve Christ and the people entrusted to his care.

Training That Reaches Beyond the Classroom

In June 2026, RPI held a training week for pastors’ wives, including wives from the current cohort. In July, staff reported that pastors were encouraged by changes they observed in their homes after that training. This is a cohort-wide account and does not establish participation or outcomes for any particular pastor’s household.
