Aggrey’s Story
Pastor Aggrey recalls a difficult season in his family when their shrines collapsed, and they were told to raise money to rebuild them. During this time, a crusade came to his village, and as he listened to the preaching, he gave his life to Christ in 2010.
He joined a local church and served faithfully. Over time, he noticed that his pastor was overwhelmed and struggling. One Sunday, the congregation waited in vain—only to later find that the pastor had forgotten it was Sunday. This moment revealed the burden he was carrying.
The church began praying earnestly for their pastor. Eventually, the pastor handed over leadership to Pastor Aggrey and moved to another village, recognizing his faithfulness and obedience.
Though he had no formal training, he stepped into leadership by faith. Soon after, the church faced another challenge when they were evicted by the landlord and forced to gather under a tree. Despite this, he remained steadfast and led the congregation in rebuilding a place of worship. He married his wife Mariam three years ago, and together they have nine children.
Although he has served faithfully for years, he has never had the opportunity for formal training. After hearing about RPI from another pastor, he recognized it as a vital opportunity. However, with an annual income of $250, he is unable to support himself through the program.
