Pastor Difasi is approximately 65 years old. He and his wife Mary have been married for approximately 36 years, and they have seven children.
While in the teaching profession in 1991, Pastor Difasi came to know Christ through the witness of a student. He became a pastor in 1996 and has served in oversight of four churches in the Pallisa District. Despite being in the pastoral ministry for this long, Pastor Difasi acknowledges that he does not understand the scriptures, nor the pastoral ministry, from a biblical perspective.
As a retired public servant, Pastor Difasi now pastors the Abundant Life Church in the Kagwese village of the Pallisa District. At the time of his original testimony, the congregation numbered 89 people. Pastor Difasi has testified that the lessons he has learned at the Rural Pastors Institute have been transformational. These lessons have revealed to him that he wasn’t previously doing anything. He now wants to serve the Lord from a place of knowledge and understanding.
His original testimony reported an annual income of $2,568, illustrating the financial challenges he faced in accessing pastoral education.

RPI continues to encourage and equip rural pastors through biblical discipleship, practical sustainability training, and ongoing relationships. New personal updates about Pastor Difasi Dambya will be shared when verified.
RPI’s Vocational / Sustainability / Discipleship Program seeks to help rural pastors develop practical skills alongside continued biblical discipleship. Poultry raising is one example of a livelihood activity that can provide opportunities to learn animal care, plan for expenses, and explore ways to generate household income.
Our aim is to help pastors strengthen their families’ financial stability while remaining faithful to their calling in ministry. This is a general picture of RPI’s sustainability work, rather than a claim that Pastor Difasi participated in a particular training or poultry project.

In September 2026, 20 RPI pastors and their wives completed entrepreneurship training in partnership with Ekisinga. The training provided practical instruction designed to help families develop sustainable sources of income while pastors continue faithfully serving their churches and communities.
The pastors also toured RPI's goat project as they prepare for future hands-on training. The project is one of the practical ways RPI is exploring opportunities that can help pastors and their families strengthen household sustainability.
Alongside vocational development, RPI continues providing discipleship, follow-up, encouragement, and practical training for graduate pastors as they apply what they have learned within their families, churches, and communities.
RPI's goat project is one way we connect practical vocational learning with our long-term commitment to rural pastors. Goat raising and livestock management can offer pastors skills to explore ways of providing for their families while continuing to serve their congregations.
Through the Vocational / Sustainability / Discipleship Program, RPI seeks to pair ongoing discipleship with practical training that can help pastors build more stable livelihoods. The goal is not to replace biblical teaching, but to help reduce financial pressures that can make rural ministry difficult.
The goat project illustrates opportunities within RPI’s program; Pastor Difasi’s individual involvement in this project has not been confirmed.

RPI's relationship with pastors continues beyond their initial biblical training. Through ongoing discipleship, encouragement, follow-up, and opportunities for practical sustainability training, participating pastors can continue growing as leaders while working toward stronger families, churches, and ministries.
