Pastor Richard and his wife of 21 years, Tendo Esther, are raising eight children and pouring their hearts into both family and ministry. Born again for over 20 years, Pastor Richard is deeply committed to shepherding his congregation and inspiring transformation within the community.
He gave his life to Christ after witnessing the miraculous healing of his wife, who had suffered from a two-year-long illness. That life-changing experience ignited a deep faith in him, and in 2008, he stepped into ministry, founding Bethel Healing Centre. He has been faithfully serving as Senior Pastor there ever since.
His journey has not been without trials. He recalls the pain of being falsely accused of adultery by a man in the community, who even claimed that Pastor Richard had fathered a child with his wife. In the face of this injustice, Pastor Richard and his church leader turned to prayer—and the Lord vindicated him completely. He was found blameless before both the community and the church council.
Despite having served in ministry for many years, Pastor Richard has never received formal ministry training. When he visited RPI, he encountered a love and warmth that stirred his heart. The message he heard sparked a desire that had long been growing within him—the desire to be trained, to grow in biblical understanding, and to become better equipped to lead.
His vision is to bring life and transformation to families and foster community renewal through the gospel. Though he faces ongoing financial challenges, Pastor Richard continues to trust God for provision as he pursues the calling God has placed on his life.
Pastor Richard simply couldn’t afford this kind of ministry training on his own. But sponsorship support is opening doors for him to grow in leadership and biblical understanding, equipping him to fulfill his calling through the opportunity RPI offers.

RPI’s vision extends beyond a pastor’s first year of biblical training. Through continued discipleship and practical vocational instruction, RPI seeks to help pastors strengthen their ability to provide for their families while serving their churches and communities.
Practical sustainability efforts are intended to complement, not replace, biblical teaching. They help pastors pursue more stable livelihoods and greater independence as they continue faithfully in ministry.
More Than a Training Program
RPI’s relationship with pastors continues beyond their initial biblical training. Through ongoing discipleship, encouragement, follow-up, continued learning, and practical sustainability training, pastors can continue growing as leaders while working toward stronger families, churches, and ministries.
