Emmanuel's Story

Growing up, Pastor Emmanual was orphaned at a very young age. In 2015, he gave his life to Christ and ended up becoming a pastor in 2019.

As of 2026, Pastor Emmanuel is approximately 38 years old and has been married to his wife, Faibe, for approximately 20 years. Together, they have five children. Pastor Emmanuel is the pastor at Amusiat Miracle Center Church, which is in the Boliso village of the Pallisa District.

Pastor Emmanuel says his classes at Rural Pastors Institute have been transformational, and he acknowledges that most of what he thought was true, wasn’t biblical. This understanding has sparked his new desire to know the scriptures more deeply.

At the time of the original testimony, Pastor Emmanuel earned his livelihood as a peasant farmer. He sold chickens to help raise the transportation fares needed to attend the Rural Pastors Institute in Jinja. Chickens were an important part of the family's livelihood. The original testimony reported an annual income of $800.

Historical testimony: personal ages, marriage durations, income, and congregation figures reflect the original source and have not been independently reverified for 2026.

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE PROGRAM

Vocational / Sustainability / Discipleship Update

In September 2026, 20 RPI pastors and their wives completed entrepreneurship training in partnership with Ekisinga. The training provided practical instruction designed to help families develop sustainable sources of income while pastors continue faithfully serving their churches and communities.

The pastors also toured RPI's goat project as they prepare for future hands-on training. The project is one of the practical ways RPI is exploring opportunities that can help pastors and their families strengthen household sustainability.

Alongside vocational development, RPI continues providing discipleship, follow-up, encouragement, and practical training for graduate pastors as they apply what they have learned within their families, churches, and communities.

SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS

Building Sustainable Livelihoods

RPI’s Vocational / Sustainability / Discipleship Program combines continued discipleship with practical training designed to help rural pastors and their families build more sustainable livelihoods.

Through entrepreneurship training, agriculture, livestock, and other practical income-generating opportunities, RPI seeks to equip pastors with skills they can use to strengthen their households and reduce some of the financial pressures that can make long-term rural ministry difficult.

The goal is to strengthen pastors and their families so they can continue serving their churches and communities with greater stability and sustainability.

RPI’s Goat Project: Practical Skills for Sustainable Ministry

RPI's goat project is one way we connect practical vocational learning with our long-term commitment to rural pastors. Goat raising and livestock management can offer pastors skills to explore ways of providing for their families while continuing to serve their congregations.

Through the Vocational / Sustainability / Discipleship Program, RPI seeks to pair ongoing discipleship with practical training that can help pastors build more stable livelihoods. The goal is not to replace biblical teaching, but to help reduce financial pressures that can make rural ministry difficult.

The goat project illustrates the practical sustainability opportunities within RPI’s program. This is general information about RPI’s sustainability efforts and is not presented as a claim about Emmanuel’s individual involvement.

CONTINUING THE JOURNEY

More Than a Training Program

RPI's relationship with pastors continues beyond their initial biblical training. Through ongoing discipleship, encouragement, follow-up, and opportunities for practical sustainability training, participating pastors can continue growing as leaders while working toward stronger families, churches, and ministries.
