Sponsor NowPastor Charles is 54 years old and has been married to his wife, Speoza, for 34 years. Together, they have 8 children. Ps. Charles is a former alcoholic and was also a soldier.
He placed his faith in Jesus in 2005, and started the pastorate in 2018. Sadly, shortly after becoming a pastor, he lost his entire congregation to false teachers and consequently remained with his family alone in the ministry. Ps. Charles says that after RPI conducted a training in his village, he was left hungry for more.
He longed for more opportunities where he could be equipped and trained for the ministry. Now that he has been accepted into the Rural Pastors Institute, he has grabbed onto this discipleship program with both hands. He still doesn't believe that a premium pastoral training program like this one has been offered freely to rural pastors like him and he finds this opportunity too good to be true. At the time of the original testimony,, he pastors a 30 person congregation at the True Vine Church, located in Kavule village.
Pastor Charles has an annual income of $1,428 USD .

RPI's relationship with pastors continues beyond their initial biblical training. Through ongoing discipleship, encouragement, follow-up, and opportunities for practical sustainability training, participating pastors can continue growing as leaders while working toward stronger families, churches, and ministries.
In September 2026, 20 RPI pastors and their wives completed entrepreneurship training in partnership with Ekisiga. The training provided practical instruction designed to help families develop sustainable sources of income while pastors continue faithfully serving their churches and communities.
The pastors also toured RPI’s goat project as they prepare for future hands-on training. The project is one of the practical ways RPI is exploring opportunities that can help pastors and their families strengthen household sustainability.
Alongside vocational development, RPI continues providing discipleship, follow-up, encouragement, and practical training for graduate pastors as they apply what they have learned within their families, churches, and communities.
